Vietnam — Feb. 22, 1969
— LT Bob Claypool photographing a firefight which sunk EN1 Staples' boat
on the Vam Co Dong river on February 20, 1969. After retrieving the weapons and
ammunition from the sunken boat, it was cradled between the two ASPB's and
carried to Tra Cu and eventually returned to action after repairs. QMC Johnson
was the Patrol Officer and BM1 Bailey the other Boat Captain.
